Our visit to the Donkey Sanctuary

This is our first visit to the Donkey Sanctuary in Nerja Spain, what a wonderful passionate job these volunteers do at the Sanctuary.

When we arrived to feed the Donkeys we found a horse in a pen that looked so sad, but was being taken care of well by the staff, we done the usual things that tourists do feeding the various animals with carrots, but I was being pulled towards this Horse which I knew needed some sort of help I just placed my hands on her and knew she needed some sort of healing, Reiki Healing energy just flowed into her and her eyes just appeared to brighten up, Heidi started to give the usual signs of receiving Reiki healing she began to tap her hoofs onto the ground and twitch and yawn, it was as if she had been waiting for someone to give her Healing, what a lovely horse.

We approached the Staff and met a lady called Anne who stated that we could give healing to any of the Animals at the Sanctuary, alas we had to leave with heavy hearts but we will be sending distant healing to the Animals and the Staff who work tirelessly to help animals in the surrounding areas of Nerja,

We tend to forget about the animals while visiting other countries and expect them to survive or hope that the locals would tender to there needs this at times is not the case and it is caring people like Anne and the other staff at the Nerja Sanctuary who come to the aid of animals who need help, please visit there website www.nerjadonkeysanctuary.com and if you are in the areas of Torrox, Nerja please pay the Sanctuary a visit.

Life is precious.
